The Jacques Herbrand Masters programmes are elite postgraduate programmes in Computer Science at University Paris-Saclay, proposed by Ecole Polytechnique, ENS Cachan and Université Paris-Sud.

The typical pre-requisite for these programmes is a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Details about admissions, and a link to the online application system, can be found on this page.

One of the specificities of the Jacques Herbrand Masters is to devote a significant part of their programmes to research, whether as a preparation to a career in Academia or as the source of industrial innovation.
Therefore in addition to coursework, a Research Internship in Semester 2 takes place in a corporate or academic research laboratory, in France or abroad; it results in a written report and a defence on campus, by means of which the internship is evaluated and graded.
